Backstory

In 2017, Thomas had an idea for a short about a business that would do whatever you’d need them to do for a fraction of the cost, and he had just the right person in mind to draw and potentially animate his vision. That guy was Andrew Buchanan. The more they talked about it, the more they realized they could be onto something good.

Thomas and Andrew got together at a local record shop named “Jet Age Records” and begun to brain storm the characters.

The next step was to figure out where to record the voices. They didn’t want ambient background noises in their recordings, but their homes weren’t an option. So they went to the nearest quiet and secluded place they could think of - the cemetery.

They had the story outlined and improvised the dialogue.

The first scene to get animated was The Handymen’s commercial, which later became the show’s intro.

Now in 2023, The Handymen Mini Series is complete! Thomas has plans to make The Handymen into a fully polished show in the near future!
